Varietal Riesling

Stefan Vetter’s wines are low alcohol, enticing expressions of the variety. They don’t scream I am here, they unfurl, inviting you to discover and explore.
Riesling from a few small parcels, 60% grown on limestone soils (Muschelkalk) and 40% on red sandstone. Mandarin skin and pith. Concentrated fruit, yellow and orange. There is tension. Salivating acidity. Fruit phenolics kiss. A powerful but poised palate of delicate complexity.

Valentin's book, Another Wine - How to Think About the Vineyard in the Face of the Ecological Crisis has now been translated into English.
Niche works of this sort will never find a wide audience. If Another Wine still feels worth sharing with the Anglophone world, it’s because I can think of no other contemporary work in English that deals honestly and bluntly with the hard work of being a peasant vigneron. It is to Morel’s immense credit that he refrains, throughout the book, from indulging in any wine sales blah-blah. There are almost no tasting notes, no extended odes to his own terroir. Instead, Morel memorably illustrates the motivations for - and the implications of - his decisions to farm organically, to vinify naturally, and to plant hybrid grape varieties.

Varietal Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache

A blend of predominately Cinsault, with Grenache and a little Syrha. This is a vibrant and youthful wine that ferments and rests in tank only.
Red fruits and freshness, jubey and light, easy drinking and an absolute crowd pleaser. In the warmer months it even happily enjoys a chill in the fridge. If ever there was a wine to please the Pinot and Shiraz drinker, then this is it.
Varietal Grenache, Grenache Blanc
Region Penedes, Spain
CL is a Clarete, a Spanish Rose, it is always a blend of red and white grapes together.
This iteration from the much loved Partida Creus is a co-fermentation of two thirds Grenache and one third Grenache Blanc from Terra Alta, the first pick in the vineyard before the temperatures dramatically increased, macerated for just a few days before pressing.
A wine to transport you to the Med; orange zest, wild raspberries, coastal thyme, sea spray and sun kissed. Fluid and fresh, yes please.
